About Our Center

Welcome to Russian Language and Arts Center.

Our Center opens its doors to anyone interested in the Russian culture. We have programs for every member of your family.

For adults we provide music evenings, Workshops (Russian Traditional craft, Matryoshka, Tea Party and others ), Russian as a second language (see more details in our “Events” page).

For children we have Russian Language, Children’s logic. drawing, painting, music and drama classes, Chess.

Aliya Barsegov

Owner, director, and teacher

In 2000, Aliya Barsegov graduated from Moscow State University named after Mikhail Lomonosov with a master’s degree in Teaching Political Science.

 

While working in the MICE industry during twelve years, her company was awarded numerous time a the year best company. Aliya continued her education by studying management at Moscow School of Economics. She also completed a professional advancement program at the Russian Language Center at Moscow State University in Methods of teaching Russian as a Foreign Language.

 

Shortly after Aliya moved to the USA in 2010, she opened the Russian Language and Arts Center in Andover, MA to help the Russian speaking community preserve their rich culture and pass it together with the Russian language to future generations.

 

In 2017 she opened preschool Curious Bee for Russian speaking kids. Aliya also works as a Russian Instructor at Phillips Academy, Andover.

 

In her spare time, Aliya likes to travel, listen to classical music, engage in sports activities and, most importantly, spend time with her family.
